Thread rolling

The LoneStar Group provides advanced thread-rolling services for high-tolerance, precision-engineered components that strengthen critical industries worldwide.

This cold-forming process is used to manufacture external threads on cylindrical fasteners by displacing material with hardened dies.

Smoother, stronger, fatigue-resistant threads

Thread rolling displaces material instead of removing it. This process is performed at room temperature and uses special dies (flat or cylindrical) with the inverse of the desired thread profile pressed into the rotating workpiece. Through pressure, the thread is formed, not cut, to create a smooth, high-strength, fatigue-resistant thread.

High-performance sealing, available at scale

We tailor our thread-rolling services to your unique specifications and can deliver either high-volume production runs or bespoke components.

Precision and consistency

Thread rolling strengthens precision-engineered components by reducing stress concentration through uninterrupted grain flow and work hardening.

Smart manufacturing

Thread rolling reduces waste while improving surface finish to minimise wear and extend the performance of your components and applications.
