Laser cutting

The LoneStar Group provides advanced CNC laser-cutting services for high-tolerance, precision-engineered components.

Able to cut complex shapes and intricate details to specification, this fibre optic technology delivers clean, accurate, distortion-free cutting at speed.

Minimising heat-affected zones in mission-critical components

A laser (light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) is a high-energy cutting device that emits coherent, monochromatic and directional light through stimulated emission. At the LoneStar Group, we deploy fibre optic laser cutting to melt, burn or vaporise material from a workpiece with extreme control and precision.

This advanced cutting tool uses a 3m x 1.5m cutting bed and is directed by CNC programming to achieve complex shapes, intricate details and exacting tolerances in sheet metals, as well as other materials when necessary. In addition, optimal material utilisation is achieved by using IGEMS 2D nesting software.

As a non-contact process, laser cutting achieves an exceptional level of product fidelity and repeatability at high-speed without ever compromising final quality. This process is trusted to produce precision-engineered, approved and accredited components with minimal thermal distortion, clean edges and excellent surface finishes.

When intricacy and integrity are non-negotiable

The LoneStar Group is trusted by critical industry partners to laser-cut intricate components designed to strengthen vital assets and applications.

High-performance intricacy as standard

Laser cutting achieves tight tolerances, fine details and geometries while CNC control ensures consistency across large production runs.
