Hot forging

The LoneStar Group provides comprehensive hot-forging services for high-strength, high-integrity components.

Able to work across a breadth of materials, tolerances and specifications, our approved and accredited hot-forged parts support the world’s most demanding industries with proven quality.

Forging long-term strength and fatigue resistance

Hot forging is a manufacturing process that heats metallic materials before being shaped by compressive force into the required dimensional form. This is used to create headed bolting, as well as associated specific fasteners and components.

The heating and forming process refines the metal’s internal grain structure to enhance its mechanical properties, resulting in finished parts that deliver superior strength, toughness and fatigue resistance when used in association with post heat treatment technologies.

World-leading hot-forging capabilities

We combine deep technical skill and high-tonnage equipment with longstanding metallurgical expertise to deliver hot-forged parts of unmatched integrity.

Our hot-forged components include, but are not limited to

  • Hex bolts and nuts
  • Socket cap screws
  • Socket countersunk screws
  • Bolts, nuts, and screws with unusual head configurations

We forge a broad scope of materials, including, but not limited to

  • Carbon steel
  • Alloy steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Nickel alloys
  • Super duplex

Built to spec. Forged to last

Technical details:

  • We work with open dies
  • Ability to forge up to 4” diameter fasteners and bolts
  • We typically heat steels between 900°C to 1250°C
